Please realise that it's not your fault and that you
are not to blame
Look after yourself - there is little hope of the
abuser changing while you stay around
Remember there are others who have experiences similar to yours and
who have got out and survived
Get help - there's lots available. Contact a helpline
or website for support and when you are ready tell an adult you can trust.
If they don't believe you, tell someone else you trust.
